Community and voluntary controlled schools
Our admissions are led by Lancashire County Council. Parents should apply using the following link: https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/children-education-families/schools/apply-for-a-school-place/starting-primary-school/ which explains how we will consider applications for every age group, how parents should apply for a place at our school, our arrangements for selecting pupils who apply and our over-subscription criteria.
Nursery Admissions
At Little Digmoor we currently offer free all-day places for children aged 3 and 4 years old. Children can start our Nursery on the day after their 3rd birthday. We currently have availability in our Nursery. For more information or to arrange a visit please contact Miss Berry (our Nursery leader) or Ms Mulligan on 01695 724539. Applications for our Nursery can be obtained from Ms Mulligan in the school office.
Co-ordinated admission scheme for Reception places
Lancashire has a co-ordinated admissions scheme which applies to families seeking school places for September 2024.
The scheme makes applying for a primary school place more transparent for all parties involved in the admission process. As co-ordination is a legal requirement, all Lancashire schools are included within the arrangements.
The aim of the co-ordinated scheme is to provide all parents with an offer of a single school place on the same day. You can read more about Lancashire's co-ordinated scheme by clicking on the following link: https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/council/strategies-policies-plans/children-education-and-families/school-admissions/determined-2024-25-admission-arrangements/determined-primary-school-admission-arrangements-2024-25/
Other year group admissions
For admission to any other year group, please contact Ms Mulligan on 01695 724539 who can advise on available places and arrange for you to visit school. If you decide that our school is suitable for you, you should complete the admissions application through Lancashire County Council.
